Jacob Aubrey

We did a 4-D ultrasound this week. The cord was right in front of Jacob's face so we had trouble getting good pictures (that's why his face in the bottom picture looks distorted). These are the 2 that turned out the best. He weighed in at 2lb 13oz & was 27 wks 6 days the day of the appointment. He is very active, so much so I feel like he will pop out of my skin at times! We are getting anxious to officially meet him. It will be here soon!

Know Your Politics

If you know me well, then the following statements won't surprise you...

I recommend that everyone be active in their local, state and national politics- or at least know the issues and where you stand on them. The national spotlight is on the next President of the US- this election will have a huge impact on the future of this country and you need to be paying attention to the issues.

I had the chance to hear many of the political positions from US Congresswoman, Marsha Blackburn, and speak individually with her at a function in Lakeland, Tenn.

Poll Results

If you voted in the poll that we would have a boy, you won!!!!! IT'S A BOY!!!! He didn't want to play the 'show-&-tell' game, though. The tech had to work really hard. But that's ok. I understand how it is to work at your own pace. Some of us don't like to be rushed into things.

We are so excited. We would have been happy either way, but secretly we were hoping for a boy. Now things will begin progressing quickly: names, nursery color, bedding, furniture, etc. It's going to fun!

I can't wait to see him. Wonder if he'll have dark hair? Will it be curly? What color eyes will he have? How tall will he be? Will he be a pretty baby? Will he have big hands & feet? I'm sure the time will fly by (it's hard to believe I'm already half-way through), but after yesterday I'm beginning to get a little anxious.
