Together At Last!

I made it to Hohenwald tonight to meet up with Becky at her parents. I was so excited to get to see Jacob! He was shy for about 5 seconds and then started waving his arms and kicking his legs- I even got a few kisses! In the 5 days since I've seen him he has learned a new trick- he is waving bye-bye. The tooth is coming in nicely, but no crawling yet.

Well, Becky and I are leaving with the Droke's tomorrow around 8 am for Chattanooga for a long weekend. We are pretty excited about it- this is Becky's Spring Break trip. I will try and post an update, but no promises- I may decide to not even take my laptop. - Jason

Home Alone...

Becky and Jacob went to Hohenwald last Saturday (3-7) for Spring Break week to spend time with family. I won't be joining them until Wednesday night. That is the a long time- about 5 days without seeing my lovely wife and woderful son. I have received a few phone calls and it sounds like they are having a big time. Jacob called me this morning to wish me a happy Monday morning. - Jason

Beautiful Snow!!!

We got the most beautiful snow this past weekend. The ground is still covered but beginning to melt away. I can't remember having this much snow at one time. It began sleeting & snowing around 2:00 Saturday & it snowed as hard it could up into the night. It was reported that the Bartlett area received 6 inches. I love the snow, especially as it is falling. It amazes me how quiet the world seems as it snows. I had a hard time making myself go to bed Saturday night because I didn't want to miss it!

I took a short video with our camera from our front porch. You can see the falling snow in the glow of the street light.

7 months old

I'm a bit behind, but Happy 7 month Birthday to Jacob!! He continues to grow like a weed & amazes me every day with the new things he is learning. He's begun doing this fake cough & little growling noise. It's so funny! His personality is beginning to show & it looks like he may be quite the ham.
You can't see it in this picture, but he's still rolly-polly & I love it! He's scooting around on the floor, not exactly crawling. Jason is convinced Jacob is saying 'dada.' It is fairly plain, but I'm holding out that he's just making noise. :) I can't let Jason think he's 'won.' But in all honesty I think that is what he's saying. He is the light of our life & it's hard to remember life without him. He is my sweet sunshine!
